Neon Indian Releases ‘Vega Intl. Night School’

August 29, 2015 by

With an established career of genre-mashing and energetic production, the Brooklyn-based Neon Indian (aka Alan Palomo) has recently announced details of his Australian return and released Slumlord, the second cut off his long-waited return album, Vega Intl. Night School.

Palomo will be taking Neon Indian on the road in Australia this December starting at Victorian favourite, Meredith Music Festival followed by a handful of headline shows on the East coast, presented by Popfrenzy.

Having already clocked up over 140K SoundCloud streams, Slumlord opens on the scene of a slow dance at an 80s prom, ascending to a high-energy groove, drenched in synth and a softly burning bass line.

The follow up to 2011’s Era Extraña, Vega Intl. Night School marks a period of aesthetic reinvention from Neon Indian. The album which brims with diversity and elaborate songwriting – attributable to the variety of locations of its creation; a cabin aboard a cruise shit, DFA’s Plantain Studios in NY, Pure X’s practise space in Austin and Ben Allen’s studio in Atlanta, results in his most interesting work to date.
